Fifty-one well-used square metres. It isn’t large — which is why nothing in it is in the way.
The terrace
Twelve square metres with an awning, a table for four, and views of the sea on one side and the Desierto de las Palmas mountain range on the other.
This is where life actually happens: unhurried breakfasts, lunch in the sun in January, a glass of wine facing the water at the end of the day. It’s also a good place to work for much of the year.
Living room and kitchen
Open-plan, with a sofa bed, coffee table, a cabinet with a Smart TV, and an extendable table that’s a desk in the morning and a dining table at night.
The kitchen is genuinely complete rather than minimally equipped: fridge, freezer, ceramic hob, oven, toaster, coffee maker, kettle and a full set of utensils. On a stay of several weeks you will cook, and that changes the cost of the trip considerably.
The bedrooms
Main bedroom: double bed, 150 × 200 cm, fitted wardrobe, chest of drawers, and sea views when you open the blind.
Second bedroom: two single beds, 90 × 190 cm, trundle type, and a fitted wardrobe. It works equally well for two people or as a study if the two of you need separate spaces.
Towels and bed linen included.
The bathroom
Full bathroom with shower. The washing machine is here — which stops being a detail once you’re staying for weeks, or running every day.
For working
High-speed fibre internet. [COMPLETAR: velocidad real medida, p. ej. «300 Mbps down, 300 up»]. Video calls, large uploads, several people online at once without the line giving up.
External monitor on request. Ask when you book and I’ll set it up.
Where to actually sit: the extendable dining table is the main desk; the terrace table works for a good half of the year; and the second bedroom can be rearranged if you genuinely need two separate workstations.
For training
Step out and you’re there. The seafront promenade starts at the door and runs the length of the coast. The Vía Verde del Mar — five and a half kilometres of old railway line to Oropesa — is one of the best places in the province to run or ride.
The mountains, ten minutes away. The Desierto de las Palmas climbs, topping out at Mount Bartolo’s 729 metres, are well-known ground for cyclists and trail runners.
The sea, right there. Benicàssim has a sailing school, and from September to June the water is perfectly usable in a wetsuit.

The building and practical details
- Two lifts.
- A private parking space included. Street parking is also free.
- Communal pool, open 15 May to 15 October.
- Children’s play area.
- Heating and cooling: ceiling fans in every room, natural cross-ventilation and awnings on the terrace, plus a portable electric heater for cold days. There is no air conditioning or central heating — across September to June, when I rent, it isn’t usually needed.
- Hot water from a 50-litre electric tank. Fine for normal use; if it runs out, it needs time to recover.
Where it is
In the Torreón, one of the best-placed areas of Benicàssim: front line, but away from the noise of the centre.

Benicàssim has its own railway station, served by the València commuter line ER02 as well as medium- and long-distance trains — so you can get here and get around without a car.
