To switch off. Outside July and August, Benicàssim is a different town: empty beach, no queues, somewhere to park. The best time to be here is the one nobody books.
To train. The seafront promenade starts at the door, the Vía Verde greenway is minutes away, the Desierto de las Palmas climbs are there for the bike, and the sea is in front of you. Room for bikes and kit.
For a race or a fiesta. The Benicàssim Half Marathon and 10K in April, the Castellón marathon, the triathlon, and Castellón’s Magdalena festival in March. You’re twenty minutes from the city and five from the finish line.
To work by the sea. Fibre internet, two bedrooms so work and rest stay apart, and an external monitor if you ask. September to June, with real quiet.
What the apartment is like
Second floor, lift, front line. Open-plan living room and kitchen with an extendable table, a main bedroom with a double bed and sea views, a second bedroom with two single beds, a full bathroom with washing machine, and a 12 m² terrace with an awning and a table for four.
Ceiling fans and natural cross-ventilation — the sea breeze runs right through the flat. A private parking space is included, and street parking is free.

Two ways to stay
Short stay, up to 10 nights. A weekend, an off-season week, a race trip or a work trip.
Season stay, from 11 nights up to a couple of months. For properly settling in: unpacking, finding your café, getting into a rhythm.
I don’t do long-term or permanent-residence lets — the apartment is also mine for part of the year, and I’d rather say so up front.

What’s around
Six kilometres of beaches, the Desierto de las Palmas mountains right behind, and a town that works all year: supermarkets, pharmacies, a health centre, a library and restaurants open in January too.
Castellón is twenty minutes away, Valencia and Peñíscola an hour. Benicàssim has its own railway station, so you can come and get around without a car.

No. I only rent from September to June; the apartment is my own in high summer.
What’s the minimum stay?

How many people does it sleep?
Four: a double bed, two singles and a sofa bed in the living room.
